Cancer and its Consequences
When this book received a cancer diagnosis after a routine checkup, she knew that the cancer treatment would be difficult. But she had no idea that within two years, the cancer would cause a spinal infection which led to additional surgery, a severe painkiller addiction that led to the need for rehab, and a recurrence of her previously diagnosed PTSD.

The Happy Widow
This book experienced the loss of a spouse at the age of 48. Along with grieving the loss, the book realized she had a new identity as a widow. What did this mean for her moving forward? As time went on she realized that stereotypes about widows were not helpful in building a future.

Interracial Marriage: Greater than Black and White
This book talks about the experience of being in an interracial relationship. The book tells a story of how both partners have experienced racism and negativity, but ultimately many of these moments have become opportunities for learning.

Superman, not Rain Man
This book talks about the challenges and rewards a single mom faces while raising her autistic son. She talks about what autism means, how to build a relationship with an autistic child, and how in so many ways he is just like any other ten year old.
