Most of us do not have the time or experience with assessment to create elaborate assessment plans out of thin air. Looking at what others have put up on the Web can be of immense benefit by providing a starting point and by sparking creativity. Thus allowing comparisons to be made between your programs and policies and another institution's.

The site provides easy access to a collection of sociology assessment resources.

  • The Collection - this page provides a table that lists instituions' sociology assessment websites. The contents of these websites are coded by numbers, type of assessment, and format with the keys.
  • The Keys - The codes define the content of assessment. This page provides definations of the conten codes.

This website is developed by Rui Wang, Social Sciences Librarian at Central Michigan University, based on an article by Annette Haine and suggestion by Mary Senter, sociology faculty who is a sociology faculty at Central Michigan University.
