Streaming Film Collections

The library has more often been acquiring collections of streaming films. Off-campus access to any of these resources requires logging-in with your CMU Global ID and password. Information on each follows:

Naxos Video Library This link opens in a new window
This collection of nearly 1200 full-length streaming videos features classical music performances, operas, ballets, live concerts and documentaries. Watch the world's greatest opera houses, ballet companies, orchestras and artists perform on demand!
Theatre in Video This link opens in a new window
This resource contains streaming videos of more than 250 performances of the world's most important plays, together with 100+ film documentaries. The works of dozens of playwrights from Aeschylus to Tennessee Williams are represented in these videos.

Finding Films

All films we own are searchable via title in Smart Search. You can search using the title and/or director in the search box. Then tweak your results by Material Type to "Video Recordings" after the search.

For streaming film, select "Available online" on the left of your results list. For physical videos only, click on the "Available on Shelf" link also on the right of your results list.
