There are a few ways of accessing American Indian/Alaskan Native health statistics via this site. These methods include:
1. The steps as outline in the Exploring American Indian and Alaska Native Data on census.gov webinar.
2. Going to the designated "Health" page on the website and searching through some of the listed categories. Some of the specific categories which contain relevant statistical information are the "Health Care and Social Assistance" page, and the "Small Area Health Insurance Estimates (SAHIE) Program" page. Most of these pages have datasets available and the two specific pages listed above have data that can be narrowed down to specifically cover American Indian and Alaskan Native populations.
In addition to accessing American Indian Health Related Resources and Government Records through the online resources mentioned above, there are also physical versions of these resources held in the Central Michigan University Park Library. These can be found via the CMU Libraries Advanced Search feature. Once in Advanced Search, type in "Indians of North America" and "Public Health" into two of the search bars, select "subject" next to each bar, and then once that search is performed, select the "Government Documents" header under the "Material Type" filter.
