The purpose of this course is to allow the student to integrate previous classroom experiences into a final research product. At the completion of this course the student will be able to:
a. Demonstrate the role of the scientific method in solving problems.
b. Display competency in using one type of educational research.
c. Develop and apply the principles of a well state and a reasoned research problem.
d. Utilize various methods of reviewing related literature in the field of inquiry.
e. Control contamination in a research product.
f. Use the appropriate educational research designs and instruments.
g. Apply the proper hypotheses to fit the particular research topic.
h. Apply information on sampling to include sample size, sampling errors, generalizations, and other related
aspects.
i. Compute elementary statistical results as required.
j. Display results of an educational research problem.
k. Select the appropriate input for conclusions and implications.
l. Select research performed by others in terms of relevance and support of your topic.
