AI in Academic Libraries and Archives: AI Overview

Curated AI Resources from CMU Curriculum and Instructional Support

CMU Libraries ad hoc AI Committee

The CMU Libraries ad hoc AI Committee was formed to share information and resources regarding the use of AI in higher education more broadly, but within academic libraries and archives specifically. While there are countless resources online, including expert speakers, the committee is focused on more hands-on exploration of various AI tools useful for academic library workflows. We have created this LibGuide as a place to start with AI and to explore further.

If you have questions, please contact committee co-chairs Brady Cramer (crame1bw@cmich.edu) or Rebecca Renirie (hill2ra@cmich.edu).

Committee Charge: Explore the University Libraries’ role and identify action steps for understanding, experimenting with, and communicating about artificial intelligence tools related to library activities.

This charge aligns with Strategic Pathways 1, 2, 3, and 4.
