The Distance Library Services Conference allows those working in the field of distance education to collaborate and learn from each other in the context of teaching, technology, and more. Conference attendees also have an opportunity to discover product and service innovations through our Technology Showcase.

We would like to invite vendors and project coordinators to take part in our upcoming conference by participating in our Technology Showcase. This showcase offers an opportunity to share your organization’s innovations with those who work in the field of distance education. You will reach a diverse audience of nearly 300 librarians, educators and administrators who will be sharing their experiences and insights through panel discussions, poster sessions, presentations, and informal networking.  Who attends?  Check out our fact sheet from the 2012 conference.

Technology Showcase participants are provided with dedicated time during the conference to showcase innovative products and services to conference attendees.  Our Technology Showcase opportunity takes two forms:  participants will exhibit and demonstrate products and services during theTechnology Showcase/Poster Session, and may also present an information session as part of the conference program.

PRESENTATIONS:  A limited number of Technology Showcase sessions will be scheduled for Thursday, April 24, from 4:00-4:55 p.m. Showcase presentations should focus on innovations and solutions of interest to those involved with teaching and learning at a distance. Space will be limited, so Showcase participants should indicate interest when completing the participation request form.

EXHIBITS:  The Technology Showcase/Poster Session will be held on Friday, April 25 from 9:00-10:00 am. Showcase participants will be assigned a table location and may begin setting up displays at 7:45 a.m.  

More information:

• Showcase participants are required to register for the conference at the presenter rate. Registration closes on April 9.
• Displays may include brochures and handouts, along with a sign-up sheet or business cards to record interest for follow-up.
• Showcase participants are responsible for bringing their own laptops; wireless Internet access will be available.
• The conference host will provide a table and power supply.
