Invited Speakers

Dr. Stephanie Delaney

Dr. Stephanie Delaney is the Dean for Extended Learning at Seattle Central College in Washington State. There, she oversees eLearning, Continuing Education and the Innovations College. In addition to her administrative work, Dr. Delaney teaches at the graduate and undergraduate level, with over 15 years experience teaching in traditional and distance modalities. Dr. Delaney earned her PhD in educational leadership in higher education/distance education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She also holds a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a master's degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. She earned her B.S. at Georgetown University. She is a triathlete and avid knitter. She lives in Seattle with her husband, son and two cats.

Dr. Delaney will be the keynote speaker during lunch on Thursday, April 21.

 

 

 

Matthew Reidsma

Matthew Reidsma is the Web Services Librarian at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He is the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Weave: Journal of Library User Experience, a peer-reviewed, open access journal for Library User Experience professionals. He is the author of Responsive Web Design for Libraries published by ALA TechSource, and the forthcoming Library Vendor Tools for Better UX from Libraries Unlimited. He speaks about library websites, user experience, and usability around the world. Library Journal named him a "Mover and Shaker" in 2013, which led to many unfortunate dance-related jokes in the Reidsma household. He writes about libraries and technology at matthewreidsma.com.

Mr. Reidsma will be speaking during the closing lunch on Friday, April 22.
